One of the highlights of 2022 was a fantastic trip to Ireland to compete in the Irish Masters Championships hosted at Tullamore Athletics Track in Co Offaly. The trip was only made possible by the kindness of fellow masters athlete Shane Sheridan who took me to the event, and introduced me to many of his friends. It was my first competition outside of the UK, the facility was excellent, and the welcome and hospitality was exceptional.
I came away with two Gold Medal’s in the 200m & 400m and a silver in the 100m. It was great to race with Shane, Michael Cornyn, Gerard Parks and the rest of the guys. A truly wonderful day in wonderful company and I will be back again.
