Run by the North East Masters Athletics Association, the North East Masters Track & Field League is a series of 6 race meetings held from May to August.
Individual League Champions for each age group are awarded to the athletes who achieve the highest combined score at the end of the year. Races are seeded on personal best times rather than age, meaning a good race is always guaranteed.
Despite missing one meeting through injury, I managed to win every other race and successfully retain the M60 title, for the third year in a row.
I was also delighted to be able to set new M60 league records for the 100m, 200m & 400m along the way.
